I really don’t get Natal, the Xbox camera system that allows you to interact with the system. I mean, you need a trigger don’t you? I just came across this video of the PS3 motion controller from E3 last year. Impressive stuff, looks like a more accurate version of the Wii controller.

Came across my first nuke boosters this evening and unfortunately wasn’t able to stop them. It was a game of TDM so of course my “team mate” was able to give his friend plenty of warning. Grrr.

The Sharkoon Xtatic Headset arrived and I played two games of Modern Warfare 2 with them. Sound quality is great, although mid to high range sounds are missing a bit of “oomph”. They need a bit more bass. The subwoofer does a great job with booming explosions however!
Unfortunately at this time of day it was really hard to find a game, so I had to play on rust where it’s so small that players are all around you making noise. The next game on Favela was better, and I clearly heard footsteps clomping up the stairs 🙂
All in all, my first impressions are good, the sound is immersive. I noticed the wind blowing on rust and other atmospherics that I never heard before when playing with a stereo headset. There are a ton of settings I don’t know about so I’ll need to experiment with those to find the best ones.

I’m glad this nudity glitch in Heavy Rain is something that nobody’s found in Modern Warfare 2.
‘Course if you could somehow glitch it so that the annoying douchebag of the game would see the dangly bits of the other players that would be cool. It’d totally freak him out.
I’d buy Armalyte if I had a PC
Armalyte, a horizontal shooter from the glory days of the C64 was and still is a firm favourite of mine. It was bloody hard, but I think I got about half way through the game. I knew there was a remake coming but not sure when. Well, it’s out now.
JUSTONEMOREGAME has posted a glowing review and now I’m sad that I blasted my Windows partition when I upgraded my laptop’s drive. I can’t play it!
Edit in 2023: I did buy it in a bundle. Unfortunately it played at double speed and I couldn’t get it to work properly. I still love the original C64 version.

You probably know already, if you have an original “fat” Playstation 3 don’t turn it on. There’s a serious bug that may (will?) destroy save games and other data! Yikes! More here.

Battlefield 1943
I own a few digital downloads. Trials HD, Splosion Man and Battlefield 1943. Of the three I haven’t played Bf1943 that much, probably because I have MW2 to keep me busy, and I can play Trials and Splosion Man when my son is around. (Ask him about Splosion Man, he loves watching that!)

This has to be my favorite .. and it’s customary to shout out ” I’M RUSSEL CROWE ” or “FIGHTIN’ ROUND THE WORLD” …
How to play : Everybody equips riot shields and throwing knives , nobody is allowed use their secondary … This results in an epic battle of riot shields..
(for added fun , have everyone throw smoke grenades and fight in the mist like Spartans)
