Who could resist cute kitten pictures? Well, Tom could of course 😉
Mario Unleashed – live!
I still prefer Gianna Sisters but this video of the Super Mario music and icons played live made me smile 🙂
Me and WordPress.com
Matt finally reveals what perhaps a few people have known or suspected for quite a while. I’m working with him, Andy and Ryan on WordPress.com.
I am very very happy with what we’ve achieved so far and can’t wait to get cracking on the new features planned!
That does explain why I don’t post as often here. I’m too busy. I’ve got a text file full of links that I haven’t read, but I do manage to post one photo every day on my photoblog. That’s a great outlet for my photo creativity!
(Thanks Donal for that link correction!)

Photos From Space
APOD had two interesting photos over the last few days:
- APOD: 2005 November 14 – Everest Panorama from Mars – click on the image for a *huge* panorama!
- Lunation – animation of the moon over the course of a month.
Jintle has a lot more space photos too!
The Top Gear Survey 2005
If you were watching Top Gear tonight you no doubt took note of the Survey they released results for. They’re on the web but the lads in the studio didn’t have or couldn’t give out the URL. If you followed the suggest Google search, you’d have come across these two beauties:
- BBC – Top Gear Survey 2005 Results which appears to only show a summary. The top and bottom ten as well as category winners.
- The real meat is on topgear.com where they list all the cars entered as well as marques and ratings for each car.
I noticed with relish that Toyota are no. 5 in the manufacturer’s list. Surprisingly, Skoda are in second position, just behind Lexus. The purchase of Skoda by VW has paid off in recent years!
Install Sendmail – download link
The original Install-sendmail page is a little fscked up, so here’s another: http://blogs.linux.ie/xeer/install-sendmail/
There’s a download link to the newest release, which is probably the last. You should really be looking at Postfix, Exim, or any of the other easier to configure MTAs.
Not Qmail, of course. That piece of software is evil.
End of Groceries Order announced
The Groceries Order in Ireland is over! Big and small stores can now compete on price and consumers will hopefully benefit!
Savings per family per year could be anything between 500 and 1000 Euro for the “average” household. Whatever an average household is.
The Groceries Order banned the sale of goods below the invoice price.
There’s a great discussion on Today FM about it right now! 🙂
Google Video Downloader
Google Video Downloader Keepvid.com – nice, lists the last decoded urls too so there’s always fresh content. I may even subscribe to the rss feed!
Update traxio.net is taken by a domain squatter, updated URL above.
Oú est la centre de George Pompideu?
Éole’s photo reminded me of what Zig and Zag used to ask: Oú est la centre de George Pompideu?
It’s strange that there’s so little online about it!
Thankfully their other quotes are still making the rounds!
