How to be the perfect boyfriend is hilarious! In just over three minutes you too can have a blissfull relationship! Of course, for the girls, there’s how to be the perfect girlfriend too. Ladies, be sure to watch it! (via Ray D’Arcy’s show)

How to confuse the police

What happens when someone rings two police stations at the same time on two phones and they hold the phones together? Claire has the answer. Must have been a meteorite hit the lines but they’re alright in Westport and Castlebarr.

Gammagoblin has made a Google Video of the phone call!

The Red Cardinal found another video with animated Gardai conversing created by Ian Benjamin Kenny.

Frank thinks the Gardai were busy dealing with meteorites on the line when a certain memo came from Interpol. Oops.

Is sex better than trainspotting?

For some hardy souls (or single young men) train spotting provides a much needed outlet for their adolescent energy. Check out this video by Delticmatt at Taplow train station and then view the tribute to the self-same person with added speech bubbles in case you don’t hear the “oooh aaaahhh” and “Oh Yeah!” These trains just keep on coming.

Just remember, say no to the guid! Why make their lives more difficult?

March 25, 2007 – DM has asked me to remove the video which was on this page which I am happy to do so as he’s made it private anyway. It’s a shame really as it was a great video!

The oldest lap dancing club

Grandad makes the case for Newgrange being the oldest lap dancing club in the world. At over 5,000 years old it’s an ancient structure and quite important today, it being the Winter Solstice, but I’m not quite convinced that it was a lap dancing club.

I mean, if the girls had to swing around a wooden pole wouldn’t they have got slivers of wood in their hands. Polished steel works much better, or so I’m told. I suppose after a while the ol’ pole would have been worn smooth and I’m sure things would have gone swimmingly well then.

I don’t know where he comes up with the idea of orgies there either. I mean, this is Ireland, like.

In light of the day that’s in it, I have a nice picture of An Fear Marbh off the Kerry coast at sunset on my photoblog. Feel free to wonder why a man is lying on his back in the Atlantic and how that relates to the above..

Langerland do the Nativity

Langerland bring their latest creation, a Christmas story, The Nativity to the big screen with all your favourite characters. Even if you don’t recognise the names there’s something in this story for everyone!

It goes without saying that if you have strong feelings about Christianity you probably don’t want to watch this! (via)

And just in case you missed it, their music through the ages will have you cringing, but at least they let Mary have the last err, word.

Britney and Donncha's underwear scandal

Donncha O Callaghan Over the past week Britney Spear’s escapades while out on the town have made headlines all over the Internet but here in Ireland, sports fans have been witness to another underwear malfunction in the form of Donncha O’Callaghan’s superman attire at a recent rugby match! Ladies in the crowd were suitably impressed although the referee did tell Donncha to put his pants on before play could continue. Much to the relief of male supporters and the chagrin of the ladies I’m sure!

Yes, tv cameras were there and the coverage below (via) is just too shocking to show so click “more” to view the clip!

That dirty rotten dna

If you’ve never read the cartoons on biffsniff.com then you’re really missing out. They’re mostly drawn by Frank Prendergast and occasionally by guest cartoonists and they’re all extremely funny and clever. Frank’s a school friend I hadn’t seen in years but bumped into at the IT@Cork pre-conference dinner the other week.
Best of all, they’ve just moved to WordPress!

Guest cartoon by Bob Byrne.

Really I need a mugger who can file my Vat returns

Comedian Dara O Briain is interviewed by Rose Costello in the Sunday Times “Fame and Fortune” column this week. If you’ve never seen him on tv or perform live then check out the clips at the end of this post!

As a self employed person I took to heart his recommendation that, “Oh yeah, and if you’re self-employed, get an offset mortgage.” You pay tax once a year, all that dosh is building up in your current account, doing what? You might as well get it working and paying off the mortgage. As soon as my fixed rate loan period is up …

How much money do you normally have in your wallet and do you carry anything unusual or sentimental in it?

I never have cash in my wallet at any time — so take that, you brigands and banditos, you’ll get nothing from me. Instead I carry around months and months of receipts. Really I need a mugger who can file my Vat returns.

Update! Dara was on Podge & Rodge’s show the other night! Here’s the obligatory Youtube video: (via)

The Killinaskully Halloween Episode

patshorttrobinhood.jpg zombie-5-shot.jpg If you missed the Halloween episode of Killinaskully find someone who has recorded it! We just watched it and I haven’t laughed as much in a long time!
It’s all because Dieter offered the local populace some new cheese he had. Nightmares were the hilarious result. Robin Hood was ridiculously funny, and it’s obvious the zombie dance got it’s inspiration from a certain Thrilling song!

Marvelous stuff by Pat Shortt and company. Check out the site above for video clips to give you a taste of what Killinaskully is like as well as the usual promotional gig and video stuff.
