I use blo.gs to generate the list of links over there on the rights of my site.
It’s useful because it lists the links in order of last update.
It’s not useful in that in the last 2 or 3 weeks spam links creep into the list without my intervention. Has this happened to anyone else?
Must get in touch with them to report it.

Carole Coleman: "I wanted to slap him"
Carole Coleman made headlines when she interviewed George Bush last year in the White House. Here was a reported who didn’t want to hear the same regurgated speel again and again.
In this extract, she tells why, I wanted to slap him, and recalls the aftermath of her intereview with “the leader of the free world” too.
(Side note.. nowhere is Carole COleman quoted as saying “I Wanted to slap him”, did the Times take creative license with the title of their lead story?)
Meanwhile, Andrew Sullivan takes Bush on over his nomination of Harriet Miers to, “be one of only nice justices on the Supreme Court of the United States.”
Bash Fun – history and navigation
Garret posted two very useful tips on his blog:
- Search history in bash – Hitting CTRL-r allows you to search the Bash history by typing a word. It’ll match the word and bring up that command!
- Super-useful inputrc enables you to CTRL-left and CTRL-right through your current command line, just like in the good ol’ DOS days!
Can’t believe the inputrc stuff isn’t enabled by default and I wish I knew the first one a long time ago!
