AJAX in IE without ActiveX
Kae discovered that AJAX functions in IE depend on ActiveX being enabled. This is terrible – something that’s useful (AJAX) depends on something awful(ActiveX)!
Anyway, Kae found a way around this limitation. It’s not complete but it’s a stab in the right direction.
DART drivers threaten boycott of new longer trains
I’m in the wrong job. I should be driving a train.. they’re asking for 20,000 Euro to drive longer trains. Just wait ’til the next time I upgrade my PC 😉

Between You and Me – Canon 20D movie
Between You and Me is a short 4 minute film shot with a Canon 20D in continuous mode. That averages out to about 5 frames a second but the film is very well done and worth watching.
The way it was shot simply makes it all the more remarkable. (30MB Quicktime movie)
The Future of Photography as predicted in 1944
The future, as seen from 1941. They would certainly be surprised at the rate of change today, but one thing remains constant: technique and eye. If you can’t see a shot and be creative then you’re not going to make interesting images.
Automated PHP code security checking
In my quest to find way of securing 3rd party PHP code I discovered the PHP Security Scanner. This could be a first stage check in the process of checking WordPress templates.
Afterwards we’d have to flag unwanted commands. Well, we don’t want people opening /etc/passwd now do we?
