Bad Company 2 Oasis Helicopter Rage

This is 5 minutes out of a very long 49 minute Bad Company 2 game I played with Duck and DrunkinDunkin on one base on Oasis. I wasn’t in the helicopter, a player with over 6000 helicopter kills was piloting it and tore up our defenses. Thankfully the rest of his team weren’t so good. 🙂

I’d love to hear if you have any tips for Oasis. It’s one map I really have rarely done well in. I think it was Cards or gt who tweeted that he gets on to the AA gun before any blueberries get there to take down any incoming helicopters. Could have done with your help in this game!

PS. Check out the first episode of DON’T REVIVE ME BRO! podcast!

I was a big fan of Stunt Car Racer on the C64, and later played it on the Amiga too but I never knew about Stunt Car Racer TNT.

TNT is an extra tracks mod of the Amiga version released a few years ago by AmiGer. Here’s his announcement post:

Stunt Car Racer TNT (The New Tracks) will be released around christmas.

Modifications

Eight new tracks:
DIZZY DESCENT, WITTY WAY, CRAZY CAPER, AMAZING ADEPT, JERKILY JUMP, EVILLY EPISODE, TEASING TEMPER and RAT RACE

Track parameters changed:
start positions, start height, damage sensitivity, boost count

AI speed adjusted/changed for all tracks

Some visual adjustments
e.g. race colours, track names gfx dropped, title screen modified etc.

AGA fixed

Cracked 🙂

Long time readers will know my dislike for Blur and I’ve hardly played NFS Hot Pursuit since I got it last month but Stunt Car Racer gripped me like no other racer since. It required perfectly timed boosts, cornering and was literally a rollercoaster of a ride.

Bad Company 2: new site and YT commenter

I’m glad to see Paul finally posted a BfBC2 video on his blog. It’s a great montage of clips from the Vietnam expansion (hell of a lot better than my unlisted first commentary!) Go leave a comment and give the video a thumbs up!

And in other news, a new WordPress.com blog called In Bad Company has been launched by Chris! Expecting good things from him as he did the guest commentary on my last video.

On a personal note, it’s great to see the Bad Company 2 community grow stronger on WordPress.com!

I joined Dvotee and TheFingersHurt on Xbox tonight for Bad Company 2 Vietnam but unfortunately TheFingersHurt got kicked off by his lousy Internet connection after about 5 minutes of play.

After that it was Dvotee and myself for a while, and every single game we joined was a losing one! They were games of conquest and our team would almost always be down to it’s last legs:

Starting Tickets Ending Tickets
18-101 0-48
69-157 0-56

So we helped turn the tide but not fast enough and we were out manned a number of times and never had a full game.

Our final game was rush and we were 8 against 10 with 5 members of the SNV clan on the other side. I was defending one crate when I was literally bombarded with bullets and grenades. It’s recorded, hopefully it’ll make a good and hectic clip!
Thanks Coyno for joining us for that game. Sorry we lost!

Finally, after reading this I decided to try marksmen LMG training and the same perk on the engineer’s kit and I think it helped. The “infinite ammo” of LMGs helped too! 🙂

I joined a private match organised by Nick and others last night. Boy, were they tough games! Nick was a busy bee doing admin work but I have no excuse. I was simply outplayed by Cards and everyone else. Even Conor, who normally does quite well felt the pressure and we departed our last game, me with a KDR of 0-9. Ouch. I appreciate the invite, but I probably shouldn’t have joined!

Still, got some good clips, hope to have them uploaded in the next few days.

Panama Canal Conquest with Stuntman Duck

I have something special for you today. This is a Bad Company 2 game of conquest on Panama Canal that we played a few weeks ago. Duck did his stuntman thing on the quad bike and whirled around celebrating base captures and we did win, but I’d like to thank Chris for taking the time to do an absolutely brilliant commentary. Much better than I could do!

Actually, this reminds me of an incident last night – Duck and I defending on Oasis and we both took out a tank with our repair tools without knowing the other was doing the same. Afterwards we celebrated with a double teabagging before noticing a recon in a building right next to us. He got a taste of Duck’s knife for good measure. Good games!
