Post Patch Defense of Atacama Desert
This is a game I played with David last night. I groaned when I saw we were playing on Arica Harbor Atacama Desert as I don’t really like this map and we did lose in the end. The game went on for 25 minutes too, it had it’s good moments and overall I enjoyed it.

ACE Pin? What? How the hell did I do that? My aim in Bad Company 2 is completely ruined by playing Black Ops.
I did really badly in a game of SDM by myself but then David came online and we joined a game of rush, on Atacama Desert unfortunately. We were beaten easily and my aim was so bad I just switched to medic and used the SAW to spray and pray.
Bad Company 2 is so much more interesting than any Call of Duty game. Where else can you see vehicles sail through the air after hitting land mines?
Bad Company 2 Harvest Day
Woah, lots of leaked videos coming out. This one is Harvest Day. David says that the G3 is now the weapon of choice, replacing the AN-94 but others say the F2000 is now a beast!

There’s a huge update for Bad Company 2 coming on the PS3 this evening, including data and assets for Map Pack 7 and Vietnam so it’ll be big. It can’t come soon enough if you ask me!
Duck, Conor and myself had so much trouble getting into games of Black Ops we retired to Combat Training where admittedly we had lots of fun. One game we did get into was on launch where we were hammered like shiny new nails into plywood. Very quickly and with little apparent effort. Grrr.
Still, I had a game of TDM early in the evening on Havana and got the first kill with that grenade throw. Very satisfying!

WP Super Cache is a full page caching plugin for WordPress that makes your website run much faster!
I’ve just released a new version and the biggest change in this one is the addition of Content Delivery Network (CDN) support thanks to Mark Kubacki who allowed me to integrate his OSSDL CDN Off Linker plugin. (Please go visit his blog and say thank you if you use this feature!)
The CDN support simply rewrites images, CSS and Javascript files so they point at a different hostname. That hostname can be another virtual host on your own server (aka “Poor Man’s CDN”) pointing at your WordPress install or a fully fledged CDN. If your CDN supports “origin pull” then all the files on your server will be copied there as they are requested by visitors. Otherwise you’ll have to transfer the files over manually.
Apart from that, bugs have been fixed, a few features have been tweaked including the uninstall script which has been streamlined somewhat.
I also added links (on the “Easy” settngs page) to some plugins and tools you may find useful in making your site run faster.
Problems? Go to the forum and someone may already have had that problem and solved it. If not, post there and you’ll get a reply.
Wii Call of Duty Black Ops
Black Ops on the Wii looks interesting. Graphics are not as good as the PS3 or Xbox 360, but that’s to be expected. It still plays at quite a blistering pace. The wandering gun sight might make viewers sick however. It tends to jump around quite a bit!
