Shot down some air support in Modern Warfare 2 this evening and earned ~~an achievement of some sort~~ the Fly Swatter achievement (thanks Dave). Highlight of the evening coz the rest of the games were utter rubbish!

Dropshots in Modern Warfare 2 are something I need to practice now that I’ve switched to the tactical layout. SeaNanners has a good time getting a nuke without kill streaks on highrise and uses the technique quite a bit.

I discovered a bug in Modern Warfare 2. It’s a harmless one thankfully.

The other night on Wasteland I shot an enemy who was about to throw a marker for a care package. Unfortunately for him the marker remained after he fell. It remained, floating in the air, right where he was when I shot him!

Anyway, the care package arrived and I stole it. Later I came back that way and saw the used marker still floating in mid air.

Didn’t play anything last night as it was a long day and I was exhausted. Hopefully this evening.

I’m not sure yet if I’ll buy the Moder…

I’m not sure yet if I’ll buy the Modern Warfare 2 maps due on the 30th, but actually I don’t think 1200 MS points (or about €14) is excessive for 5 more maps, even if 2 are rehashed from a previous game. I never played them in their previous incarnation anyway.

I’ll wait until the reviews are in however before parting with my hard earned credits but really, put things in perspective. I’ll spend about 7 Euro on a magazine that I’ll read over the course of a week or two and then dump in the corner with the rest of them. A paperback can cost from €8 to €12 and be read in bursts over about the same time. Or even €4.90 for an occasional pint.
If my past 4 months experience of game playing are anything to go by, I’ll get a lot more use out of a map pack than any magazine or most other entertainment purchases I’ll make.

I have to admit I’m looking forward to the free DLC for Bad Company 2, even if it’s just new modes for existing maps…

It was great playing Modern Warfare 2 TD…

It was great playing Modern Warfare 2 TDM with the guys from work this evening but boy do I suck when I’m tired. I think 1 game out of 3 or 4 ended with a positive KDR for me.

Anyway, here’s a photo of the mad Springer Spaniel my son Adam was playing with at Fountainstown today.

Wooo, couple of nice games of Modern War…

Wooo, couple of nice games of Modern Warfare 2 with Eddie. I’ve switched to tactical controller layout as I got used to hitting RS to crouch in Bad Company 2. Works well enough though I haven’t tried the dropshot yet.

Playing my silent class, silenced UMP, Ninja Pro and Coldblooded. Lots of air support and the one single time I got killed from it was when I was close to my team mates. Sorry, when I was running away from my team mates when I saw a predator missile. Not fast enough.
