Well, I think I just got some really good news! Unless someone’s taking the piss, but I’m not saying anything until I get confirmation in a few days time! 🙂
Oh, ok.. Jacinta just checked, I won a trip for two to Chicago! We’ll be staying in the Fitzpatrick Chicago Hotel for 3 days bed and breakfast and I’m over the moon! Get back to earth.. take a deep breath, relax.. it’s no use, I’m smiling like the proverbial cheshire cat! 🙂
TiddlyWiki – a reusable non-linear personal web notebook
Or you could call TiddlyWiki a “javascript powered self-contained site”. Very impressive!

Ireland Cracks Down on Online Scammers
Slashdot picked up the story that Eircom and Esat will block calls to 13 countries. A desperate move perhaps, but more effective than trying to educate the public, at least in the short term.
I guess this could affect those builders^h^h^h^h^h^hpeople with off-shore accounts too. Bet the tribunals are rubbing their hands in glee!

So, here’s a short but insightful piece on writing, handy for all you blog writers! 🙂

2004 Republican National Convention in NYC
More from the 2004 Republican National Convention in NYC.
The shock of what happened on August 31 is still wearing off for those of us unfortunate enough to be caught up in what can only be described as a desperate act by law enforcement.
I covered this previously.

Custom Fields in WPMU
You can now use custom fields to execute functions in WPMU!
Currently there’s only one function, that’s “photoblog” but more will come.
When you’re writing a post, click the “advanced editing” button and scroll down. You’ll see text boxes where you can enter custom field keys and values. Now, edit your blog post.html in the template editor and add {custom_fields} where you’d like the output to appear.
For my last post I used “photoblog” as the key, and “20040922” as the value. The photo will appear tomorrow and I avoid all the nasty Javascript I had before!
