Bad Habits

swordsmanx75 covers some of the bad habits he’s developed while playing first person shooters. I was very interested to hear about his FPS Freek one. He uses the joint of his thumb to aim so I hopped in a game tonight to see what I do. I think I use the flat of my thumb.

Do you use the tip of your thumb on the right stick? The FPS Freek makes it harder to use that because the stick is so long but it might be more accurate. I tried it and it wasn’t at all comfortable. Unfortunately for my little experiment I spent most of my time in the tank!

47-0 on Atacama Desert

I think the highest number of kills I got in Bad Company 2 Onslaught is 79, in one of my first games with Mike last week. It was only the two of us playing, and it was on easy difficulty so the enemy practically stand in the middle of the road for you to shoot.

Here’s a screenshot of the scores from a game this weekend. It was on Atacama Desert, on hard difficulty and I had the tank most of the time. We crushed all who opposed us. I got 47 kills and I didn’t die once!

I have to give credit to Mike who can land a tracer on a speeding bullet. Without his skills those Havoc helicopters would have been a lot more deadly.

For more tracer hell, check out this video David created of a Rush game on Isla. Mike helped take down helicopter after helicopter. Madness!

Bad Company 2 Onslaught Gameplay

Medal of Honor Gameplay Video

Cardsnumber7 is the first person on my subscriber list to post a Medal of Honor gameplay video to Youtube. He says himself that he’s figuring out how to play the game and the commentary isn’t very good but it gives a good idea of how the game looks and plays.

Geoff held a streaming session on justin.tv playing MOH but when I hopped onto his channel he was playing Arica Harbour in BfBC2! I guess MOH came later.

Now I’m wondering how many of my online friends are taking part in the MOH beta. Field Operative is, though he’s on Xbox and the beta is delayed a week on that platform. Geoff is, on PS3, Mike too?

The least observant recon player

This is funny. He replenished the enemy recon player’s ammo, and he never noticed who helped him.

Reminds me of last night’s game. Under the bridge on Arica Harbour I was killed by 2 enemies so when I spawned I went searching. They had gone around the corner but I spotted an ammo crate so thinking it might be the enemy’s one I topped up. Sure enough, yer man comes around the corner and I get the drop on him! 🙂
