A rather odd (fan made) advert for Minecraft. (via)

Petition to allow game button remapping
Colin reposted a video by Chuck Bittner, a disabled gamer who is collecting signatures in support of his petition to get game companies to allow remapping of controller buttons.
Here’s the petition and a FAQ about it.
Even if you don’t care about other gamers, then sign it for selfish reasons. If this became a standard (and hell, back in the 80’s you could remap the keys used in almost every game. It’s not rocket science!) then you’ll be able to customize every game you play just the way you like.
I just signed the petition and so have over 40,000 others. If you play games please sign it too.
NyxQuest Kindred Spirits for $1.99
NyxQuest looks like a fun platformer and the PC/Mac version can be bought for only $1.99 on their website, but only for this week.
I haven’t played it yet but at that price it’s a no-brainer and I’m looking forward to trying it later, especially after seeing the positive reaction to the Nintendo Wii version on Metacritic.
Marry Me?
Minecraft was used to propose marriage! Shame about the creeper..
World of Goo on iPad for $0.99
The most excellent World of Goo is only $0.99 on the iPad today. Go get it! NOW! Do! Don’t delay! Unless you don’t have an iPad.
Minecraft TNT
TNT in Minecraft can be very useful, and not just for blowing up huge holes in the ground! (see here too)
A single block of TNT takes out an 8×8 cube of blocks. Burrow into a cube, plant that TNT and step back and you clear away stuff at a decent rate! You’ll want to read this wiki page on the subject too!
Bravo 2 Company FTW!
Paul posted the launch video for a new Battlefield clan, Bravo 2 Company, I’ve joined him in the clan and next time I fire up Bad Company 2 I’m changing my clan tag to B2C. Haven’t played an FPS in ages though, I’ve been too engrossed (and exhausted in the evenings) in Minecraft.
Check out the clan homepage where you can register and join up if the want!
Battlefield 3 has extra pre-order content
As seen here, in the Community Press Room, here in various other places this morning.
This was one of the Battlefield 3 images released yesterday but someone modified the filename slightly and got this image which includes the following information:
The Battlefield 3 Limited Edition includes pack Battlefield 3: Back To Karkand at no extra charge*.
This themed expansion pack features four legendary maps from Battlefield 2 boldly reimagined with Frostbite 2 physics, destruction and visuals.
Completing the package are classic Battlefield 2 weapons and vehicles, unique rewards, new achievements/trophies and more.
For those who don’t pre-order to secure the limited edition, Battlefield 3: Back To Karkand will be available for purchase approximately one month after the game’s release
So, either that was a smart marketing ploy by EA and the modified filename was leaked by someone there or this was a lucky guess. It’s not confirmed yet and there’s plenty of time to pre-order your copy. I should probably ask, “Who isn’t pre-ordering Battlefield 3?” rather than the opposite!
Every report of this “find” says “someone” found it, not naming who so I presume it was an EA leak.
Forest fire oops
Real forest fires are deadly. They cause huge amounts of damage and put lives at risk but at least in Minecraft it’s all virtual. Tye, Duck, Sulley – a surprise for you next time you login to the server …
