Go get Super Crate Box. Great little retro platformer. Free too.

I mentioned A Flipping Good Time in a post before but it’s worth saying again, it’s rather good! Go download it, it’s free!
It’s hard to believe but Team Fortress 2 is really 15 years old! Well, strictly speaking the franchise is 15 years old but who am I to raise that point on such a day?
To celebrate they’re giving every player who plays today a free hat and other goodies. You’ll also see other birthday party related changes to the game like cake and presents instead of health and ammo packs. Check out the screenshots below!
No doubt you’ve already seen the engagement video above but here’s a short live action movie called, “Portal: No Escape” worth watching too.

Quite enjoying Multiwinia, fun little game. I’m playing it on Easy difficulty, but even on that I lost a game or two.
The “advanced topics” tutorial could be a little clearer. It’s easy to miss the “You must do this next to go on to the next step” banners. I spent a good 10 minutes attacking yellow on their island, defeated them, and suddenly they were firing salvo upon salvo of comets and airstrikes. When you follow the instructions it’s much simpler!
Saying that, it’s wonderful seeing your little armies advance upon the enemy and the pow-pow of laser fire mingled with the screams and shouts of the little stick men if you zoom in close is engaging. Fly up high and all you’ll hear is the lonely wind blowing. Up close is where the action is.
Rock of Ages is coming out at the end of August and it looks hilarious. I love the Monty Python feel of it and I’m sure my son is going to adore the rolling around and squashing gameplay!
Call me old but this game reminds me of Eliminator back in the days of the C64. OK, all they share is that you dodge obstructions on the road but you can flip your vehicle on to another parallel road ….
Looks great, much more interesting than Audiosurf. (via)
You should watch this video here because all the games are linked in that post. I haven’t watched the whole lot yet but the following games do interest me: Monolith, Screwball, Dreamball 64, Annihilation (woah, that looks very familar!) and finally Pylo Nouveau (only a demo available).
