There’s no getting around it. At some point in your career, your patience will be tested with a stupid client who is so clueless that you’ll question your sanity, career choice, and the future of mankind.

And Tonight..
I’m looking forward to seeing the first episode of Battlestar Galactica! It’s on Sky 1 at 8pm! Don’t miss it!
Update… Wow, I didn’t realise we were seeing the first episode before anyone else! Like Mark I found it to be a mixed bag. The mini series was certainly better but I still enjoyed it. I didn’t find it quite as gripping as the mini series however.
Of course the director can kill off a few characters! It happened in the original series when …. hehe. I won’t spoil it for my younger (< 23yro) readers!
Beautiful Ireland!
So much for the race against waste! It looks like more people are cottoning on to Bring Centres where you can recycle paper, cardboard, plastic and glass (but for 10 points, who knows where it goes once you dump it? And no, it’s not dublinwaste.ie!)
Pity they can’t even dump their rubbish properly. Where’s that survey says that Ireland is way down the list of clean countries? Go Irish People! Woo! We’re slobs!
langerland – The Dail Reshuffled
Laugh? I almost sh*t myself! This is what the Irish Government looks like after the Cabinet reshuffle last month.
So, who wants to live in Ireland then?

WordPress Enclosures – embedded links
This is a small demo and announcement of changes to enclosures support in WordPress.
To help clear up the backend clutter I removed the “Enclosure” text field and enclosures are now created from files linked to in the post content. Files of type “video”, “image” and “audio” are enclosed by default.
Images:
Movies:
Audio:
(Audio from pro-american.. first hit for “george bush mp3”.. *shrug*)
The ACDC remix linked to above isn’t enclosed because the remote server returned “text/plain” so make sure your file server’s mime-types are set up properly!
I spy with my little eye..
A Swan on the River Lee.
Gushing Water
Water alongside a river, anywhere. Look down. See that little stream running by your feet?
Berries
Autumn brings out more than just browns and gold in nature.
The Sunday Times
It might actually be easier to read the Sunday Times online instead of buying it. Still, there is that hands-on feel, especially when you kick back, relax with newpaper in hand and get lost in another world.. Here’s some of my reads from last week (not all, I opened at least 2 dozen browser tabs looking at the above page!)

- Comment: Brenda Power: It’s not the state’s job to guarantee a quality life
- LA law, anarchy in the UK – “John Harlow came back from Los Angeles for a holiday in Britain to find himself the victim of random violence as he strolled past St Paul’s cathedral in daylight. It’s safer over there, he says”
- Save the world: forget about global warming – “Climate change is the focus of world leaders’ attention at the expense of soluble problems like hunger and disease, says Bjorn Lomborg”
- Special Report: Space tourism ready to take off
- EU migrants flee Ireland’s cost of living – “Reports from those returning to their home countries suggest that a key factor in their decision was the high cost of living in Ireland, which is significantly greater than accession states, even when higher wages are taken into account.”
- Irish Outlook: Damien Kiberd: Don’t be blinded by poverty claims – it’s all relative. Get rid of the super rich and we’ll all “feel better off” won’t we? “The logic is: if there are fewer rich people and you have a modest income, then you might feel relatively better off.”

Citricidal Cure and Disinfectant
So, I’m feeling slightly under the weather, runny nose, sneezing, tired. I think Citricidal will help. Anyone else tried it?
