Modern Warfare 2 Harrier Glitch

Want to fly 9 harriers in the air at one time in Modern Warfare 2? This glitch will apparently let you do that. Crazy. (via)

1. Equip the following load out (must be the same)
M16 + Holographic sight – not really needed but some weapons it doesn’t work – M16 is confirmed.
AT4-HS Launcher
Tactical Insertion
Smoke Grenade

*Killstreaks* Just make sure you’ve equipped the Care package – doesn’t matter about 2 and 3.

2. Run around and kill 4 people until you’ve got the care package.

3. First quip the care package then in the following order: Equip the Tactical Insertion, just before it light animation (as it catches) press LB followed by Y then hold the right trigger.

4. The rocket will fire and you’ll hear the harrier sound notification, select the harrier and place it on the map – as you’ve placing it on the map hold the DPAD right button.

5. Once you’ve called in the harrier if you’ve kept the DPAD right held down you’ll hear the harrier sound notification again – repeat step 4 over and over again until you’ve got 9 harriers in the air.

6. To repeat after all 9 harriers have left go back to step 2.

The author of the glitch contacted Infinity Ward in January but they ignored him. Nasty glitch.

Bad Company 2 with David, Mark and Conor…

Bad Company 2 with David, Mark and Conor tonight. I found it hard to get into my stride but we were playing on a great team and I think won every game. I did come out with a decent KDR in two rounds too!

Ok, ok, never mind that they were crap scores. I was laying down smoke and refilling ammo quite a bit too but whenever my KDR gets near 1 I celebrate!

Still waiting on my component switcher cable. Friday night’s game was in HD and it made a huge difference.

Edit – never mind the above, thinking back over the games I think I’m just peeved that we were playing with such a strong team who played for the objective. I did my share of setting and defending the bomb but this time our squad wasn’t the only one doing so. It was quite amazing how fast we overran the enemy base sometimes. I honestly prefer those games where we have to fight for every inch (but not have to fight too hard!)

Bad Company 2 Helicopter Tutorial

Not another helicopter tutorial? Yes, yes, but this one is good and it’s short. Flying a helicopter in Bad Company 2 is damn hard and AdaptableFuton suggests changing the air controls to BC1 controls. Might make it easier but you probably lose manoeuvrability.

Also, and this is the important bit. Engineers can only repair the helicopter when it’s flying low. I didn’t know that. Must have been dumb luck when I was repairing that we were at the right altitude.

Looking for a prestige lobby in Modern Warfare 2?

This morning I checked my Xbox inbox and found this odd voicemail from someone who wanted to sell me access to a 10th prestige lobby in Modern Warfare 2. At least that’s what I presume it was as the voice was so distorted it’s hard to understand him.

Should I report him? Will it do an ounce of good? Done. It was quite easy to report him! 🙂

Modern Warfare 2 nuke in 8 seconds

How does Geoff do it? A nuke in 8 seconds? Good thing all those soldiers were busying shooting at air support or something. They never even saw him coming!

That totally trounces the previous record of 30 seconds by Gunit123:

*Sigh* In Geoff’s next video he talks about the hate mail he received after posting the video above. Some people just don’t have a sense of humour. Those people should probably get out into the sun a bit more.

Destroy first Alpha crate in Port Valdez Quickly

It’s really easy to kill the first Alpha crate on Port Valdez with a tank from afar. When an M-COM station is in a solid building there’s always a danger of the building falling down around it. I don’t think it’s a bug, it’s a design feature. Bravo on that map is much more exposed and harder to take. (via)

On Isla all it takes is a knife! Watch and enjoy!

Not in a Squad? Then You Are a Complete and Total Moron

Some choice quotes from Bad Company 2: When Bad Players Ruin a Great Game (via)

If you are not actively engaged in either defending or assaulting crates or control zones, you are wasting everyone’s time who has an interest in playing the game as it is designed.
…..
Let me make this real simple: When you are on the attacking team, you cannot win by killing more of the defensive team than they kill of you. It’s not possible. It’s doesn’t matter how many times you try or wish things were differently, it just won’t work. This isn’t Modern Warfare 2.
…..
Instead, I see people standing around, making no effort whatsoever. Or, if they make an effort, it is so half-assed as to be useless, like the dainty noobs who appear too frightened to enter a building because they might get killed so they hang around outside like a gaggle of drifters, waiting for god knows what until finally the bomb explodes, objective lost. Good work men. Try not to work up a sweat next time.

I’m adding his strategy guide, part 1 and part 2 to my own Bad Company 2 beginners guide.
