Battlefield Bad Company 2 Review
The Guardian Technology Games Blog reviewed Battlefield Bad Company 2 a few hours ago. The review is in my feedreader but not on the site. Odd.
Anyway, they gave it the thumbs up with a score of 4/5.
Compared to Modern Warfare 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has skulked into the fray well below the radar, but committed fans of military first-person shooters will find it in no way inferior gameplay-wise. If you see yourself as a true, hardcore gamer, you’ll be needing a copy.

My highest ever score in a Modern Warfare 2 TDM: 31 kills, 1 assist and 5 deaths. Played mostly defensively by occupying the middle building and defending with claymores. I didn’t camp, except when I knew a guy was coming. Ninja Pro helped a ton there.
Ken Burton’s wonderful AA-12 adventure
Ken Burton has discovered the wonderful AA-12 automatic shotgun in his latest video. This is my secondary weapon on my main classes and I love it. Hope I can unlock that grip soon though as the recoil is something awful. Dead effective in a small room! Yes, you definitely need Scavenger to pick up more ammo.
I just added myself to the html5 beta on Youtube. Unfortunately videos with adverts will still use the old Flash player, and I suspect most of the ones I’ll watch there will be those.

Ages ago I wrote an FPS Freek review on my main blog. It’s a small extender that makes the stick on your controller longer, and supposedly easier to use. I thought I should share it here too with a link.
Short summary: don’t bother buying them. I wish MS would allow the use of keyboard and mouse on the Xbox 360!
Playing defensively in Modern Warfare 2 …
Playing defensively in Modern Warfare 2 is a lot easier than running and gunning. Sometimes after an intense game of knifing and running around I’ll stand up and my legs will be shaking, with my stomach in knots.
I mix it up and run and gun but a little more carefully now. A lot less stressful! Here’s a good guide to playing defensively. Definitely worth trying every now and again when things get crazy.

Running and gunning in Favela in MW2
Since David posted a video a while back I might as well post this one here.
This game is from January 18th, shot on a Flip Mino on a tripod as I sat slightly to the side. I was wearing headphones so no sound except my occasional grunts and curses. I edited out the bit at the end where I stood up too quickly and knocked over the tripod. 🙂
Oh, and I can’t believe I missed that guy lying on the ground. I stunned him but thought someone else had finished off the job as he wasn’t moving.
