Unicef bombs the Smurfs in fund-raising campaign for ex-child soldiers

Unicef bombed the Smurf village in a new ad campaign to raise money. This has been doing the rounds for a few days and as one Metafilter userpointed out, “what’s sadder, bombed smurfs…or the fact that people are so unfased by bombed people that we have to resort to bombed smurfs…news at 11”.
Says something about our “caring” society.

SQL Injection Attacks by Example

Ever wondered how some of your favourite apps get hacked and broken into? This page lists lots of examples of database “injections”.
Like an injection you get off your doctor these bits of code inject database code into your application. The code can do anything – delete all your data, grab your passwords, or anything.

FAlbum – WordPress Flickr Plugin

Wow! I’m impressed! FAlbum is a Flickr plugin for WordPress. It’s simple to install and configure, except make sure you put the rewrite rules above any WP ones, especially if you’re using WP 1.6!
It displays your Flickr albums, most recent photos, and lots of other pretty stuff, all inside your blog!
There’s a longer feature list above, and a few demo pages. This is definitely one project I’m going to keep an eye on for the future!
Later… The FAlbum plugin is now running on my new photography site In Photos displaying all my Flickr photos in a nice album!
