It’s perfectly safe for work, if everyone around you is sweet and innocent. Ok, this animation probably isn’t safe for work then! 😉

Dining In Cork?
I enjoyed one of the best meals I’ve eaten out in a long time on Saturday night! It wasn’t in Cork City, it wasn’t in Kinsale, or anywhere you’d expect, but in Oyster Haven. In Oz Haven to be exact!
The menu is varied, from wild boar and ostrich to seafood such as salmon and sushi. Yum. I loved the setting, we weren’t squashed in, there was plenty of space between tables, a fireside table was a luxury not available in many restaurants in town! Paul was a knowledgable and courteous host and can tell you whatever you need to know about the food or wine available.
If you’re looking to impress your significant other, or simply looking for good quality and delicious food, dine in Oz Haven!
YACCC – CSS Colour Chooser.
This looks really useful. It lets you choose a colour scheme and paint it onto a mini web page. (Via Scripty Goddess)
Beyond MVC: A New Look at the Servlet Infrastructure
Now, this is interesting. Beyond MVC looks at and criticizes the Model View Controller pattern. I’ll have a read of it tonight and mull over it for a bit. I’ve used the MVC patter for lots of apps and it’s proved to be a very useful foundation, but if there’s a better way.. (Via PHP Everywhere)
It was a really good weekend for some..
Street Performers
These 2 street performers were out on Patrick’s Street yesterday and attracted a large crowd for their act. I was shopping with Owen and Michelle and stopped for a look..

It's A Foggy Morning

I changed my mind about publishing these pics, they’re not good enough IMO, but look at them if you want!

"Access to the specified device, path, or file is denied"
Sometimes Windows can surprise you. I’m fixing up a PC that was infested with over a dozen dialers and spyware apps, and over 100 suspicious registry keys (thank you Adaware!)
After I cleaned out the machine I couldn’t bring up the display properties. I would get the above error message!
Thanks to this page I found a solution and now I know about a useful tool called “sfc” which can be used to restore individual files of a Windows (at least Win98 anyway) installation from the source cab files. A quick reboot later and I was able to change the screen resolution again!
Later, it looks like it’s not completely clean, there was still a reference to fntldr.exe in the win.ini.. That ptsnoop.exe looks suspicious too. Hmm. Must try some of the other anti-spyware out there.
Pic of the Day – Go Away!!!
Good photo that’d be much better if it had been rotated just a teensy bit to the left. Hope he used a zoom to get so close..
The House is Mine!
Contracts are signed, and I’ll be getting the keys on the 19th! I think that calls for a celebration this weekend!
As Niall on #linux said, Moving house, as a life experience, is up there with divorce and bereavement on the stress scales.
While I didn’t get a divorce, the last year has been rough. 2004 has been a rocking year so far! 🙂
