In Behind the photograph #001, Paul Watson shows how he processed a dramatic sunset photo. It is Photoshop specific but some of the techniques work in the GIMP too – that b/w burn layer tip is very dramatic!

This is my first time searching Google Video and I came across this cool Skateboarders In Cork video while searching for “Ireland”. I recognise some of the lads, and it was shot on location in Emmet Square (photo above was shot there), UCC, CIT (I think), South Mall, over near the Victoria Hospital and elsewhere. Very nice work.

Well, I could hardly contain myself, so imagine my delight when I found out I came second! YYyeeeeeesssss!
I congratulate Alyssa for coming first. It’s a great achievement eating a potato omelette and hash browns!

Sorry Tom, I love cats, although I do worry about what a cat would do to my new 3 piece suite with those claws!

On the subject of hell..
James Jeff reprinted a short essay he found while cleaning out his drive: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?
Of course it’s been doing the rounds for a while but this is my first time reading it and made me smile! 🙂

Ray D’Arcy announced earlier that the closing date for digital photos by email is now Wednesday night, not next weekend as previously reported. Good thing I had most of these finished last night!
