So, I’m feeling slightly under the weather, runny nose, sneezing, tired. I think Citricidal will help. Anyone else tried it?

The Previous Page, Next Page
function works again in WPMU. Not sure what fixed it but it was likely some WordPress core change, probably the upgrade to the CVS version did it.
Anyway, to get it working, administrators should edit their wp-inst/.htaccess and add the following line (somewhere in the middle,I don’t think it really matters where!)
RewriteRule ^page/?([0-9]+)?/?$ /wp-inst/index.php?paged=$1 [QSA]
Now, edit your index.html template and add the following at the end of your content section, or wherever you want the links to appear:
{posts_nav_link}
That’s it! Refresh your browser and the links should appear! Oh, and you may notice I updated the photoblog plugin – it now links to the blog post about the photo, even when displaying random photos. So, feel free to comment, I love to hear what people think of my photos!
eBay item 3846194407 – The GIMP Professional Photo Lighting Photography Suite!
Looks like someone’s selling Win32 GIMP binaries! I hope he includes the GPL licensed source code on that CD or in the email!
John Eisenhower: Why I will vote for John Kerry for President
John Eisenhower, a lifetime Republican and the son of Dwight Eisenhower will vote for John Kerry for President. This is a must read for everyone who’s sitting on the fence or anyone voting in the American Presidential Election.
For everyone else it’s a powerfully written piece written with conviction and worth reading if you have a negative view of the Republican Party.
As son of a Republican President, Dwight D. Eisenhower, it is automatically expected by many that I am a Republican. For 50 years, through the election of 2000, I was.
(via a whole lotta nothing)
Frank picks up on Kerry mentioning Mary Cheney, but in the comments I read that Bush said, “he wasn’t concerned about Osama bin Laden”. Why the hell aren’t the media picking up on that???
Fun With The GIMP
Using the in bevel tutorial I created the following logo with the GIMP. Pretty eh?
Several other tutorials there too, as on Deviant Art and here’s a tutorial for making A4 posters with the GIMP.

Going Home?
On my way home yesterday I had to take a photo of this scene. There’s construction work going on there, linking the path to the Regional Park. That sign will be gone by next January when all signage has to be in kilometres instead of miles so it’s a little bit of history too!
Just under the sign, on the wall, is a block of wood with all sorts of medals on it. I guess the workmen found that in their digging. Bet there’s a story behind that!
SanDisk press conference / Photokina 2004
This is a great report from PhotoKina 2004 – Santdisk looks like a sure bet for the future of digital media although I have to agree with the author – why would you use Flash cards once and archive it when a strong magnet will likely destroy it. Call me old fashioned, but the nice bulky CD is harder to misplace too!
A Mixed Message – flip, flop, flippity floppity!
On the Mixed Message website you’ll come across some of the flip flops Bush, Cheney, Rumsfield et al have uttered over the years!
“The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him.” George W. Bush, September 13 2001.
“I don’t know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don’t care. It’s not that important. It’s not our priority… I am truly not that concerned about him.” George W. Bush, March 13 2002.
Sky+ Review
Mark Twomey got Sky+ a few days ago, and he told me he was busy. Pffft! That’s what he was busy with! hehe.
Here’s his review of Sky+. It’s mostly good news, but with a few cavaets for those thinking of purchasing.
Mizen Head
Pictured last Sunday afternoon. The day started out cloudy and wet but thankfully cleared up later. We met a New Yorker who does the tours and two Poles who clambered like goats all over the hills with their cameras!
