Have you been following the terrible news from Soham in the UK? Dave expounds on a regular basis about how great webloggers are at highlighting issues, (and they are, look at 9/11 coverage, camworld and Dave’s site was where I went looking for info!) but it breaks down when there’s no webloggers around, so the traditional media will stay hold sway over what we think and how we perceive the world at large. There’s a lot more of them than us, and they have an interest in keeping a story alive, where we might get bored and immune to it and move on. Such is life.

Let Users Control Font Size has sparked some responses, summarised by Mark but I looked at the Citydesk discussion on this. When you zoom into this page in Galeon/Mozilla (in Linux), both types of text zoom in, and in fact, contrary to what IE does, the absolute pixel sized text zoomed better than the relative font size.
