D’Arcy Norman looks at the multi-blog universe again. He’s examining a few systems and I like his simple litmus test:
If a user’s first reaction to the software is something like “GAH!” they are less likely to use it.

No, sorry, I just made that up. From reading this article on catnip, I wouldn’t be surprised if cats did dance after coming into contact with catnip!
Looks like it could be good as an insect repellent too, just watch out for the local cats.
Here’s how to build the best paper airplane in the world, and you can build a paper rocket too! Mad stuff!
Liam pointed me at these paper models for download. So much paper goodness!
Productivity Tips For Avid Blog Readers – lots of good stuff.
I discovered the true power of feedster and rss only a few weeks ago.
I have an interest in a few things:
What I did was grab the XML feed for each of those searches and use Thunderbird to track them.
Now I have a very effective method of finding out who’s talking about me, and about my favourite subjects!
Unfortunately, searching for more generic terms such as “photography” results in too much cruft for it to be useful, and Thunderbird seems to fall down if I try advanced feedster queries.
Mike Johnston gets used to noise in his latest article. Not sure I agree with him, but I suppose it could be a signature look if you were optimistic!
Here’s a neat php driven version of the old text adventure Zork! Cool! Although I’d rather play a good mud to be honest! (via)
Mark Hancock delivers yet another great article! This time it’s on the subject of shooting soccer matches.
I must find out when local teams are playing; soccer, football and hurling are all played locally but I haven’t a clue about them. I should grab the closest male resident and ask them!
On finals games, be ready to run. The editors want to see a dejected player in the foreground with the jubilant team celebrating in the background. This means the PJ must circle around the losing players and align the winning team behind them. This lasts about 10 seconds.
In Hollywood Splash Véronique Vial snapped celebrities such as Rosanna Arquette, Claudia Schiffer, Carmen Electra, Daryl Hannah and others frollicking and acting it up for the camera in their pools!
Loads of great stuff here.
The APOD photo today is a great shot of the shuttle approaching the International Space Station. It did a back flip so the front of the ship could be photographed for evidence of damage. Click on the photo for a much larger image!
The Typing Injury FAQ should be required reading for anyone who sits at a desk. (via)
Click-click-click-click – the sounds of typing are prominent in many offices and homes. They are the sounds of persons working at their computers, typing on their keyboards, and clicking their mouses. Unfortunately, by simply listening to the click-clacking sounds of the typists, you cannot tell which people are most at risk for a typing injury.
