Linux.ie – a Wiki?

In a heated discussion about the grand vision that people have for the Irish Linux Users Group, Justin Mason suggested (sorry! no link, the archive is broken again!) that we use a Wiki to keep the information on the site current and uptodate. He outlined his own ideas and suggestions in his post, How to have turn a stale project site into a useful Wiki and it’s not a bad idea at all!
I’m in favour of it, who’s with me? Why use a wiki?

A good tip — moving to a wiki helps a *lot* here. We found that our stale old SpamAssassin website has become the main source of live, up to date info now that we wiki-ized it.

(It turns out that vandalism and people throwing up crappy info isn’t a serious problem at all. See http://taint.org/2004/09/28/191712a.html for details.)

Documents Reveal Gaps In Bush's Service As President

Oh my! This story is shocking!

According to Rocklin, the most damning documents were generated at roughly one-day intervals during a period beginning in January 2001 and ending this week….

“Factual data presented in these publications indicates that Bush took little or no action on issues as widely varied as the stalled economy, increasing violence in post-war Iraq, and the lagging public education system,” Rocklin said. “The newsprint documents also reveal huge disparities between the ways Bush claimed to have served Medicare patients, and what he actually did.”

Online Photo Printing Service in Ireland, Redux

Looks like Digi-Prints in the UK is probably the cheapest online printing service. I just got confirmation from them that they deliver to Ireland. Bonusprint come second, Spectra Photo trail behind as they’ve doubled their prices in the last year and others are very expensive too or shut down. I’ll be placing my order next weekend!
Mypixmania caused me no end of problems, although I was offered photo-credits for the few mix-ups that happened. Their French prices are good, but Sterling is too much unfortunately.
