I’ve never noticed the aim assist in Bad Company 2 but apparently it’s there and this video shows how bad it is. PC players are right! Console players suck! 😉
Thanks RDTTeamAwesome for posting this informative video, and to drmb for blogging it. I just don’t have the time these days to watch all the BfBC2 videos out there and they post some of the best to their blog!

That’s actually a pretty clever solution to help out with the terrible ability to aim with those thumb sticks. I played one of the Halo games and the auto-aim snap is laughable.
Still though, real men use mice. 😛
You should read this reddit thread on the video. Apparently Halo 3 has pretty atrocious aim assist!
I remember playing COD4 and an enemy ran across the ground in front of me. My cursor was literally dragged across by him for about half a second. I’ve never seen that happen in BC2 thankfully.
I was surprised to see how subtle the aim assist is BFBC2, I figured it would be like the COD drag and snap on type. Black Ops aim assist is out of control, you can wall hack people with it. Back when I was playing that on xbox I would regularly have my cross hair pulled through walls, rocks and other objects to a guy I couldn’t even see.
CoD soldiers have a steady diet of magnets and morphine.
The aim assist on BC2 is fairly negligible and the fact that it isn’t a lock-on assist is the best part of it.
