The Gimp Guru continues his series of tutorials with an excellent one on removing haze from photographs. (He copied the technique from Luminous Landscape but the more GIMP material out there the better!)
I really like his explanation of Unsharp Mask, it’s the first one I’ve understood!

I’ve used the “wide area” unsharp mask idea on a few photos and I’m impressed. It does take an age on a 5MP image however!
The October 20 episode of “Two And A Half Men featured the return of Jakes’ teacher Miss Pasternak. For those who missed it, shame on you, but Miss Pasternak no longer teaches, she’s a pole dancer at a strip club. Time hasn’t treated her too well!. I remember her as rather foxy. Charlie wouldn’t have bothered if she was less, but dancing seems to have taken it’s toll of the dear girl! I wonder if she was played by the same actress!. Maybe it was the hair!
