Zimran has an interesting but brief analysis of the housing market in Boston. The linked article has more, including this nugget:
… shortly after 2010, housing prices in most currently hot markets are going to fall off a cliff, as boomers downsize.
I don’t expect that to happen here in Ireland at least. Has it happened already? What about the boomers of the 60s here in Ireland? They’re all living in bigger houses now!
Amazing action shot from a rugby match in Ulster. Whatever about the guy leaping through the air, I love the expression on the opposing team player on the ground!
Sometimes there’s a story behind photographs, and Michael relates an experience he had one morning finding that story.
I hesitated before linking to this as I think that “finding the story” could also be the curse of photography. Michael spent so much time looking for great shots that he may have missed enjoying a beautiful morning.
We as photographers spend so much time analysing situations, scenes and lighting that we miss the point of being in a particular place, whether it be on holiday or submerged in the mundane activity of life.
Needless to say, this curse also afflicts my life.
I’ve just added a blacklist to the b2++ referer system.
It’s fairly simple. If you see an evil referer appearing on your page simply go to the referer admin page, select the checkbox next to that URl and hit the “Add To Blacklist” button.
I’ve briefly tested it and it seems to work fine, but if you encounter any problems please leave a comment here or email me at the usual address.
Now to blacklist that medication site that linked to me…
I can’t believe it. It’s a year since Spring died. I remember the day like it was yesterday. I took her for a walk in the morning, and we played with her, throwing sticks for her to fetch, or running after her out on the green until shortly before the vet called to the house.
2003 – bye bye, not a good year.
Weird, but I watched it 3 times..
As I mentioned previously, Zac went missing on Saturday. Mel sent me a text last night with 3 words I was hoping to hear, “Zac is back.”
Zac was sleeping on a neighbour’s window sill for the 2 nights he was missing and the owners saw the notice in the local shop and got in touch! Yay! 🙂
