This css debugger looks very useful to try and figure out what the hell’s happening on certain sites. Works fine in Moz FF, thanks to Scripty Goddess for the link.
Edit in 2024: updated links to archive.org links.

Forget the last one I posted, this drop down menu is rather better, but it does require Javascript and not just CSS. Saving that, it’ll still work in non-Javascript/CSS capable browsers because it uses HTML lists to render the menu structure!
Here’s a nice example of a drop down menu using nothing but CSS styling. The author has tested it in several browsers and it works fine in Mozilla Firebird 0.7 here. Lovely!
Argh! Vodafone.ie doesn’t like Mozilla Firebird! I tried to change my tariff from the awfully expensive one it was at. (set a year ago, and forgot to change, it’s not even available now!)
Using Moz FB I get the following error:
You have selected a Text Add On.
In order for your request to be processed you must select one of our new Tariff options from the Tariff Table.
Of course I had selected one of the new tariff options and I hadn’t selected the “Text Add On”. I had to resort to IE on a Windows box nearby. Why can’t they get simple forms and radio buttons right and cross-browser compatible? Silly, silly, silly.
Must mail webmasterATvodafone.ie about that one methinks.
Good presentation on using CSS for liquid layout. Going through each step of the process and explaining each well. Including hacks to get around bugs in various versions of IE!

Minor change to the template here. I was going to overhaul the site but in the end I decided I wanted to get some fresh air instead, so I’m off for a drive!
On a sort of related issue, does anyone else find that Hoffmania needs to be loaded twice? The first time I view it in Moz FB the first paragraph of text appears fine, then the text turns into either html code or garbage. ‘Course, if you’re a fan of a certain shrub you might not notice any change on reload. hehe.
Go read his site. Good stuff there!
ColorMatch Remix – another Javascript colour matcher.
I really need a HTML category..
Nice tool for generating the base code for a table free layout. Yumm!
