Final photo. Hopefully I can get some snaps of the bridge when it’s completed soon!

The BBC has pictures here and here of the awful flooding in Boscastle, Cornwall on Monday. Google News has more. Thankfully nobody was hurt although over 100 people were air-lifted to safety. Looks like animals and pets had a lucky escape too!

“He must have found an air pocket and is incredibly lucky to survive.

A bridge is being built across the River Lee from Pope’s Quay to the Coal Quay. This is only one of a number of snaps I took of it being laid across from bank to bank.

Cork Harbour pictured from the railing surrounding the entryway to steps down to the river.

A pylon near the ESB Plant in Blackrock. It carries power across to the north side of river and has been the subject of numerous court actions over the years. Residents close by have objected to the eye-sore, as well as dangers of having a large amount of electricity travelling on wires overhead!

Carol has loads of GIMP related stuff on her site, including tutorials, scripts and photos. Great stuff!
