Next time you’re in Sydney visit the OpenAir Cinema. It’s a 25m by 16m screen that rises out of the ocean. People bring rugs or can hire bean bags to watch movies. Early this week it was announced that the Irish Police force, the Gardai, are to follow a zero tolerance policy with regards to speeding. If you do even 1 mph above the 30 mph speed limit you’ll be fined and receive penalty points. This of course ignores the fact that both speedometers and police radar guns aren’t completely accurate. The Sendo Papers: Microsoft’s Master Plan Basically Microsoft was desperate to sign on an OEM for it’s Smartphone and got Sendo on board by investing in them and promising that they would be a launch partner. However, Microsoft then used the industry knowledge garnered from Sendo and the deal itself to go out and recruit other manufacturers like Orange. When that was done, Microsoft did what they needed to do to screw Sendo.

Mark looks at the MacWorld announcements. He used Safari to browse my weblog and only got a green background. In Konqueror on my machine (Red Hat 8.0) the browser does display my weblog, with only a few errors so there’s obviously some divergence between the two. Here’s a screenshot of Konqueror for you to compare.
Mark also pointed at Apple’s efforts to port X11 to Mac OS X. If only Macs were cheaper..

Linux Today – Update: Apple Launches Browser Based on KHTML Engine – with lots of comments from users and developers. I have to say I’m surprised Apple went for this engine instead of Gecko. The rendering in Konqueror has always been very good but Mozilla is much better these days IMO.
