Google Search: “Error: missing ) after argument list” – If like me you mostly code a server side scripting language and occasionally delve into Javascript for some on-the-client functionality you’ll no doubt come across this error at some stage.
I’m using form variables with the characters “[” and “]” in them and Javascript has an unnerving tendency to screw up in an obscure way when it sees these characters in object names.
Thankfully I don’t have to contend with this problem much, but each time I do, I’m guaranteed to have forgotten the solution because of the irregularity of my use of Javascript. The solution? Faqts.com has the answer. It’s so simple. *sigh*
