Last July, Andrew Rodland added logic to make a server’s LED’s blink in morse code following a kernel panic, in response to comments he read in the function ‘panic_blink’ [story]. Tomas Szepe has dusted of this code and ported it to the 2.5 development kernel, receiving a mixed reaction.

Xandros Desktop is a beautifully crafted operating system by a staff of meticulous and talented human beings. Had I not experienced one major roadblock during my initial installation, I would doubt that this creation had sprung from human hands. I share your feelings Jeremy, using the .htm extension instead of .html just feels all wrong to me. Silly maybe but perhaps it’s a common notion in the Unix community where filenames have been just a little bit more flexible than in the Windows world.
