Here’s a great tones on photo editing by changing the highlights and shadows of a photo. I don’t think the GIMP has a similar tool, although the same effect can be achieved in some other way I’m sure. One to check out later.

Andy’s in London taking snaps and offering advice!

After reading about Ian yesterday I came across this editorial from about.com on the same. A pity that Photographer’s Rights leaflet in the UK isn’t online. Anyone got a copy? Is there a restriction on redistribution?

On my way back to the car last night I spotted a man walking up an alley into the darkness. All i got by shooting in normal mode was a black blob but using the nighttime mode of my Sony F717 brought out a little more detail.

Wow! This guy got a hard time from the local and federal police in Boston! Crikey! I wonder if the same could happen here photographing the oil refineries in Cork Harbour or other sites? I have plans to go back to Roches Point some night and capture a few images.

I got my photos printed but the tops of people’s heads are missing, why’s that? here’s why!

The Irish Photographers’ Website, Bill Doyle – where are you? It certainly can’t be a man in his 70’s, 1916 was 88 years ago! Fair dues to Peter for trying to find him though!
