.. For your camera! What were you thinking?
For the 99% of the camera market that don’t have swivel bodies (Sony 7×7, 828) or swivel LCDs (Canon G6, and others) this might be useful. It looks like a mirror that reflects the LCD display at the back of digital cameras (so DSLRs are out of luck unless you want to review your photos?) Both digitalphotography blogs and engadget have posts about it and comments. It’s for sale in the UK but you could build one yourself if you’re handy at the ol’ DIY.
Little Visitor
I expect my memory cards tomorrow so I can shoot higer res images and down-sample for the web. This is only slightly resized and there’s plenty of noise but I thought it was nice enough to post regardless!
Corporate Imagery – McDonalds and Apple
Will Pate had some fun in McDonalds a few days ago. He took a picture of one of their McCafe cups and was verbally set-upon by a member of staff demanding that he delete the photo!
Reminds me of my visit to the Apple Store in Chicago. I took a few photos in there, but was nicely asked by a young guy to stop as photography wasn’t allowed inside the building. I still have the photo, would it hurt to post it here?
I’ll be back there in a few weeks so I may try again!
How To Preserve Photos For 500 Years
How To Preserve Photos For 500 Years – fluff article from Forbes, but you really didn’t expect them to tell how you could preserve your photos? Microfilm is recommended but hopefully when JPEG is superceeded by something else there’ll be a Unix command I can use against my archive of photos.
Littler Birdy
16th photo taken with the FZ5 and the first of a bird in my garden. Quite happy with it considering it’s only been cropped and not resized!
