Professional Photographers Using Linux?
In this Ask Slashdot Question, like so many others, the question/headline is misleading. It asks about scanning slides, and no matter what type of OS you use, if you use cheap hardware you’re not going to get great results. Still, take a look at the comments for more.
Free Marlyn Monroe 2005 Calendar
Despite the title of this page saying “Calendar 2004” it does look like a 2005 calendar, only someone was a little too quick off the mark with their website editor!
Anyway, the important bit is that Ilford are giving away a Marilyn Monroe Calendar on their site! The only snag? It’s a PDF that you have to print! 🙂

Trees All Lit Up!
Here’s a more “traditional” picture of the two trees I published yesterday. Some working with the GIMP involved to bring out the sky, but otherwise, a reasonable approximation of a cold night!
