Yep, it’s pretty irritating. I think you should definitely send them an invoice, and when they inevitably ignore it, have a lawyer send them a followup and increase the invoice fee by the cost of the lawyer.

I hate even writing words like that because it seems like such a scummy thing to do, but when I think about how many cases I’ve read where big media have tried to use copyright laws like a club to stomp on individuals it just fills me with rage.

I know how much effort it is to do anything about it though so I totally understand your position; I hope they do eventually at least provide you the courtesy of responding via Twitter.
