  1. Where can I see this on the pavement in the USA? The drawings are absolutely magnificent. Congratulations to the artist.

  2. Not only amazing, but FUN! Beever’s art is entertaining and is something that makes you WANT MORE!! Julian, if you’re reading this, I applaud you! Thanks for the experience!!

  3. Please bring your pavement drawings to the USA they are absolutely beautiful and amazing to look at! We would love to have them here! You are a truly talented amazing artist!

  4. Julian is truly blessed with a magnificent gift. I have shared his art with many of my friends and they are always amazed. I can’t wait to see one in person!!!!!!!

  5. What an awesome inspiration you are to all budding artists. I like to oil paint myself and have self taught myself over the years. Nothing as amazing as what you do!!!
    Looking forward to future projects.

  6. Amazing work! I received an email forward with your sidewalk drawings and I had to do a internet search just to make sure they were for real! Awesome drawings! Your oil paintings, wall murals and your other work are also wonderful.. Congratulations on having such a beautiful talent. Enjoy it (as we all enjoy seeing it).

  7. Well actually this guy maybe tallented but in fact what he has done is taken a technique known as ANAMORPHISM (that has been around for hundreds of years) and used it as his own creation. He didn’t come up with the technique himself and his work isn’t as amazing as you might think…well if your a passer by, his drawings simply look like a disproportionate mess, they don’t look 3D at all unless you climb up on a step ladder and look at it through the convex lense of a camera at a right angle to the image. You might be suprised to hear that those images he created don’t actually provide him with much money, and he can’t live off the small funds he recieves from them. Instead he works for larger corporate comapnies…that’s where he gets the money from…just thought I’d say that before people started to get the wrong idea and think he was absolutly amazing. BYEE

  8. Julian your work is amaizing!!!, I received an e-mail of some of your drawings, murals.. then I found more of them on the web. Is beautiful seeing all your work. Do you have web page where you load your work? bye! and thanks for share your talent with us!! =) (sorry if I have ortografhic errors, I am learning this lenguage…)

  9. “Well actually this guy maybe tallented” His artistic talent appears to be somewhat superior to your spelling talent.

  10. You’re right miles — from now on, no praise to any artist who employs old techniques in modern mediums, no matter how amazing the actual artwork.

  11. Miles, you are an idiot and a pompass ass. You should find a hobby to ease the bitterness that leads you to such feeble attemts at taking the joy out of viewing this amazing work for others. Clearly you are a sad little man.

  12. Miles, it doesn’t matter that Julian Beever didn’t invent the procedure of Anamorphic drawings, but it takes an awful lot of artistic genius to know how to apply it properly. He has to “see” the correct image in his mind while he’s drawing it completely out of proportion. I’m an artist myself, but I could never do what he does. Learn to recognize the great talent that this man has instead of critizicing.

  13. Sounds like Miles isnt a very happy person… The talent of Julian Beever is superior on any level. I hope he will grace my city of Atlanta GA (USA) with his presence one day. Keep up the great & inspirational work!

  14. I just received an e-mail with Julian’s 3D chalk paintings. I sit here having to lift my jaw off of my lap. simply genius!! Please visit Houston

  15. This man is a GENIUS!! His work is AWESOME!! I would love to see him in Columbus, Ohio – and he can stay at my house! What a mind to be able to create these masterpieces!! Miles – let’s see some of your work!!

  16. Fantastic work Julian. Thanks for bringing so much beauty to us. This is not a site about Miles, but for god’s sake Miles, give credit where it is due. You are a very small person and full of sh.t

  17. Its art beyong any explanation! Excellent perception and visualization. I am still awestruck! Wonder if you would ever visit my country India!!!!

  18. Does anyone know how to get in touch with Julian, aside from the email address on his site?
I have a business proposition for him and would like to speak with him ASAP.

  19. yo miles, im not going to jump to conclusions or anything and claim you are a “pompass asshole”,
but upon seeing beevers work the first time i googled it and anamorphism is the first thing that came up. i highly doubt beever claims to anyone that he invented it, just like all internet phenomenons the legend preceeds him. i find it particularly interesting that you say he probably makes little money on it, but it seems like a lot of his artwork is sponsered by coke, sony vaio, and other major companies.
he is quite talented as an artist, but even more talented at selling the act. call warhol a sham, youd be doing the same thing.

  20. Ricky, Shut it u Muppet! Why would coke and sony pay someone to draw something on the floor that will be washed off within a day! Have u got any common sence! Awsome work tho.

  21. Miles,
Actually, I LOVE the “disproportionate mess” images – wish I could find more images from other angles. It heightens my appreciation both for the work required to create these and for the way the brain processes visual information. 🙂

    Fun stuff!

  22. I have just inspired my year 7 class with your drawings. They are learning to draw 3D shapes and we all now call them a “Julian Beever”. Each lesson begins with “Can we see the drawings again Miss?”

  23. Julian Beever’s art is really a work of a genius. Its so amazing!!!Hope he has a site or an e-mail so that the youngsters or even adults can communicate with him and learn his work of art.

  24. I’d like to get in touch with julian to offer him a proposal on a new project, by any chance, do you have a contact number or an email adress?

  25. I’d like to get in touch with julian beever to offer him a proposal on a new project, by any chance, do you have a contact number or an email adress?

  26. Now thats Creativity!!…how to contact Mr.Beever? are these images for a day or can be long lasting for a year..have plenty of Clientele in Pakistan that might be interested if the drawing is long lasting.

  27. miles miles miles, oh wherefore did you disappear from the site? fire too hot? come now my most opinionated of men, my dashing knight in white satin. when oh when will you come out to play? yours forever and a knight, enrico

  28. Erica is right everyone. this is not so much talent at work. It is more a matter of math. It is amazing how we see a masterpiece on a wall and dont think twice yet we see a mind bending object on the pavement and call it brilliant.

  29. The only way forward for beever is to big………real big. Folks will quickly get bored unless its in person. Bigger the better in this case

  30. Hey zeeter…whats even more amazing is people see a sunset and don’t think it’s awesome. They rave over a coke bottle drawn in chalk but dont marvel at the awesomeness of the human hand itself which drew it. If you want to consider perspective look at your fellow human beings and marvel at the human body. Fucking awesome.

  31. this morning was the first time that i get to see his works
    there were unbelieveble!
i love how he created all those awesome works,,
now i’m looking for more of his works

    good jobs!

  32. Well, I’m impressed! This guy has talent and he’s got it in spades. Truly superb. We so seldom see stuff as creative and ‘out there’ as Julian’s art. As for the detractors – Miles, Erica and zeeter, get bent you bunch of pretentious twats! Get over yourselves. If it’s so easy get out there and lets see YOU do it. And personally speaking, I can appreciate the creations of Nature, AND the creations of man, at the same time thank you very much. IMO Julian rocks.

  33. Hey Erica– Why so bitter? What happened to you that makes you devalue this guy’s talent? I’m guessing that you are some kind of “starving artist” that nobody “understands”. Get over yourself… maybe Julian’s work attracts attention because it’s beutiful, and maybe your work doesn’t attract attention because it sucks.

  34. Does anyone have contact information for Julian Beever in addition to his email address? It’s been kicking back emails for over a month now, so he may have changed addresses … a contact number would be great. Thanks.

  35. So it’s not hard to do, but when seen it seems so good to the unartistic. I bet it inspires hundreds of people to art. Isn’t that what art should do inspire? Something inspired Jazz, great architecture, great science, which was probably considered trash at some point. If you inspire others your craft is great! If an idea is not presented it’s just another thought.

  36. There is no words to describe your work!!!Excellent is not even close – it`s much better!!!! Keep on with the good work and pleeaassseee bring some of your amazing talent to South Africa! I can`t wait to meet such an increddible artist!!!!!!!!…..remember to please
inform us when you will be coming!bye*

  37. Words do not even describe great these chalk wonders are! Miles and Erica are dumb for thinking that these masterpieces are easy to do. I am sure that Miles is probably still living with his parents because he hadn’t found the right job or lifestyle to fit his “special” needs, while Erica is probably being arrested for “public endangerment”(STUPIDITY). Everybody else are smart and can realize talent when they see it.

I would really appreciate it if “The Land of the Free, and the Home of the Brave” (USA) could see some of your work!

    Thank You!

  38. Hi,

Would like to know where I can see Julian beever’s artwork? That is, the location and venue or all his artworks. Thank you.

  39. Hello!

  40. yall are all right i love his work and stuff hes done over the years the sidewalk art is amazing that its not even the word to say great wonderful best ever i love it and want tosee lots more but i have a question how long does it take him to do these things??

  41. truly amazing.im very, very impressed with the drawings.just wish i could see them 4 real.any one tell when i can c him doing a drawin live.keep up the brilliant work

  42. erica and zeeter…you are both idiots if you think there is no talent in Julians work…he is amazing..you both are obviously not artist….

  43. I just got an email with some more of his work. This man is amazing. It would be fun to have one of his works on our sidewalks here.

  44. I ran across this spelling of the name (not usual) and was curious of your roots. My father was born in Kansas and he told me we were out of Penn. I believe. Originally my father told me the ancestors came from Normandy. He used to refer to the Penn Black Dutch in our family history. There are not too many Beever spellings left in my family. Most changed the spelling to Beaver.
Anyway, I was curious and pleased to see other Beever names out there.
So, if we are distant cousins…”hi, cuz.”
