Sitting down to read the Sunday Times yesterday what crawls out from underneath the paper? *shudder* Any sane person would get something to either trap or kill the spider but I grabbed my camera and snapped a few photos!
FWIW, when I was finished I trapped the spider and released it into the garden. It’s bad luck to kill a spider isn’t it?

That’s fascinating! I sort of thought it was a universal thing as spiders kill insects but then most insects are benign anyway and it’s only a food chain. Anyway, a quick search proved enlightening, but I stopped reading when I found what I wanted – I wouldn’t leave the house if I believed all the animal superstitions listed!

i killed a spider last night and when i hit it with my shoe loads of tiny tiny spiders were left of the wooden floor running around. what kind of a spider is that? it was black and bout the size of my bid tumb nail.
1. Lots of spiders carry their young on their back. You probably killed a mother! You’re awful!
