Scott did some cleaning out of his house and found lots of old stuff, reminds me a little of the stuff I threw out, but I’m amazed at the amount of tech equipment he picked up over the years!

Mark turned 30, “standing in my bathroom wearing nothing but a pair of latex gloves, holding a wet cat in mid-air.”
I’m not 30 quite yet, almost 27, almost, I’m still grasping onto that number 26 until Time cruelly twists it from my hands!

Slashdot | Do People Really Use Their PDAs? – i have an old Palm IIIx, I use it to play Go, and not much else. *If* I was organising events and wasn’t at a PC I’d use it but my phone is “good enough” for contacts and alarms.

Dave pointed me at the new MS OneNote app and quoted Steve Gollmor saying, “a powerful idea processor”. Zimran puts it in more <a href="http://www.winterspeak.com/2002_11_01_archive.html#
85711214″>familiar terms, calling it a “text editor”. hehe.

About Tablet Computing Old and New – if you enjoyed the review of the new Tablet PCs, you’ll like this look at their history. It reminded me that the C64, NES, and other 8 bit computers had “laser guns” you fired at your tv. I used them, they worked, how well I can’t remember though!

The top ten usability problems in Mozilla – harsh but true. I think that judging by how I see others (even developers) use MSIE, I don’t think most people will actually go into the preferences. Quite often I end up telling these users how to configure their browsers, even though I rarely use Windows or MSIE.

I’d go for galeon, it’s an excellent browser!

I should have read the unix docs for UAE. To grab the mouse in an X11 window press F12-g. Works great 🙂

At long last I can play Syndicate again! It plays full-speed in UAE and it’s just as I remember it!
Unfortunately there’s no mouse-lock AFAIK so the mouse keeps wandering out of the window. *ggrrr* I’ll have to get DGA working and play it full-screen.
