dvd::rip – A full featured DVD Ripper GUI for Linux, written in Perl – From first impressions this looks very good but I’ll post more later after I’ve ripped a DVD.
I already tried DRIP but it wouldn’t compile on Red Hat 8.0, gcc gave an “internal compiler error” (no, I’m too lazy to post a bug to RH bugzilla.. 😛
Both these programs depend on other software to do the ripping and encoding but everything needed was readily available on freshrpms.net through my local apt-rpm mirror in Dublin!
