Woah, so there is a stats API for Bad Company 2! It’s powered by bfbcs.com who of course throttle it but at least it’s there. EA only give API access to a select group of sites so this is a boon. Thanks Reddit guys!
I feel a WordPress plugin might be worth coding to access this.

Chris sent me a tweet saying there’s already a WordPress plugin that talks to this API. bfbc2 stats is the plugin. Must look at that soon.
