Slashdot | MySQL 4 – Is it Stable? We’re still using MySQL 3.XX.XX here but I’d like to look at the nerwer releases if they can hold up, either that or PostgreSQL.

Microsoft Says Linux Doomed, So Linux Will Stop.

Reached at his office, Microsoft’s Miller said he didn’t enjoy delivering the sobering news, and prayed his opponents would be able to find peace. “Revealing that Linux is full of errors, shouldn’t be used, and has no place in the software world was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do,” confessed Miller, who appeared to be holding back tears. “I can only hope that one day, they will see I was doing this to save them years of wasted effort.”

I thought The Kinsale Road Roundabout was bad but the Magic Roundabout in Swindon is worse! This Google Search finds more info on it.

Joel found that SpamAssassin was letting through about 25% of his spam and pointed at a test page which lists all the tests the program does. There’s an update to his comment, a reader advised him to keep Spam Assassin updated which I’d agree with. It still catches 99.99% of the spam I receive!
