Roches Point – POTD July 14th, 2004
Today’s photo was taken in Church Bay on Saturday afternoon last. Pictured is Roches Point, and 2 yachts sailing back to Crosshaven, no doubt going back to the Cork Week festival (note – listen to the Langer Song to get a flavour of what you’re likely to come across there!)
PHP 4.3.8 is Out! Oh, and 5.0 is too!
It’s official and everyone and their mum has the news. I’ll let SitePoint PHP Blog provide the summary!
woooaaawwww!
Another one of those illusions that’ll make your head spin!

Cropping Photos for Impact
I do this all the time, although it’s sometimes hit and miss. Very occasionally I’ll crop because I like the viewport the GIMP displays inside it’s image window. You can scroll the image by using the mouse wheel – press ctrl if you want to scroll sideways.
Site Redesign
Yes, I’ve redesigned. No, it’s not finished yet! Template is from Stu’s excellent site.
Rangefinder Mag – July 2004
Mark noticed that the latest issue of Rangefinder is out. He’s listed a few of the articles, there’s lots there!
I hope that broadband connection at home comes soon! I’ve a lot to catch up on!
MP3 Blog Roundup
This extensive roundup of MP3 blogs looks good! Must set a few downloading tonight!
I’ll have to figure out some way of recording meta data about the mp3 files if the files don’t have mp3 tags as one of the posts there suggests.
Possibly the simplest way is creating directories named after the bands and putting the songs there.
Linux Demos!
San Francisco By Night: Before and After
The very talented Andy WIlliams astounds yet again with a gorgeous photo of the Golden Gate bridge and the city behind it.
He’s also taken the trouble to post the picture before he processed it so you can see what a difference that makes. Wow!
