It arrived this morning! I ordered a DMC-Z5 from Pixmania.com last week and DHL delivered it this morning. Unfortunately, the manuals that came with it were in French, German, Italian and Dutch.. None of which I speak with sufficient proficiency to understand some of the finer points of this camera!
With some effort I found this page on the Panasonic website leading me to English language PDF manuals. This came as some surprise because another page said there was no online manual!
Now if only 7dayshop would get the Canon 20D sorted. Royal Mail possibly lost it but it’s the seller who’s responsible.

I have two reasons for buying this camera:
- I don’t want to drag thousands of Euro worth of camera into pubs where there’s lots of drinking and messing. I’m not crazy!
- A huge number of birds visit my garden every day. It’s great to watch them closely with binoculors but if I can get in close with a camera too it’d be even better!
I recently purchased the DMC-FZ20 and I am thrilled with it! Isn’t the zoom terrific? I hope you have a lot of fun with your new camera. 🙂
I’m a bit of a Canon whore myself, but that is a very nice camera. The trade off between convenience and quality is a hard one tho.. concidering the price.

I own a mere 3.2Mpix S1 IS and am too happy with it to change even for S2 IS. But this should be a good choice if you don’t own one already. 😉
Purchased the DMC-FZ5 a couple of days back and it’s just amazing! The Zoom and Image Stabilization features are awesome.
Glad that I didn’t pay heed to what the PC Magazine had to say about the FZ5. That’s one place I’m gonna avoid from now on when I need an “unbiased” review.

Hi, just got my Fz5 from Pixmania – no English manual. I found a link to the manual though – you have to look under model number DMCFZ5EB but it is the manual. However, Kemo, if you have the paper copy PLEASE get in touch because our printer is playing up and my husband wants to send the camera back without the manual!!!
I just got my FZ5 from Pixmania yesterday. What a fun thing to play with! And best of all, you can practise your camera skills with thousands of shots and not waste anything but some electricity reloading the batteries. I got a 1GB memory card and two batteries, so I don’t need to worry about anything when shooting away… 🙂

hello all, i have a panasonic dmc-fz5 which i love! anyhow, i have joined a site called dpchallenge.com and when i submitted a photo to be printed it is telling me that the my image size is not acceptable – “Your image is 1920 x 2560 pixels, which translates to an aspect ratio of 1.33:1. it is not large enough.
I lost my manual and this site was so incredibly helpful, Thank you

Where can I get download the USB driver for a MAC for my my Panasonic DMC-FZ20
It should just appear as a storage device in Finder. No extra drivers required.
I got lumix dmc fz 20 and the driver dvd is broken. Where can I get the manual for Mac? I understand I don’t need a driver, mac shlould recognize it. I got the camera on e-bay, because i needed exactly this one and dvd got damaged during a transport.
