Google Search: site:.freshrpms.net gimp perl – If you’re using GIMP installed from an RPM you could be missing out on some great plugins and functionality. Make sure the gimp-perl RPM is installed. If you have apt, just do apt-get install gimp-perl

How to upgrade from NULL to RH8 using apt. A bit scary but certainly do-able. I’d have updated glibc using rpm as a later comment pointed out instead of trying to remove it and then updating it. I did it on a dev server long ago and the server wasn’t rebooted for ages, so it can be done!
