Have to tell you guys, the current requirements for attic insulation to meet the Irish Building Regulation is actually 10 inches of fibreglass or Rockwool Rollbatt

You should have tried the spray on foam insulation: http://www.spray-insulation.ie
It would have taken about an hour with 2 people spraying, or 2 hours with one person spraying (no tea breaks!!)
