The last time I felt like applauding a demo was after I watched “Incoming Future” by Gods a few weeks back. Now it’s happened again. Gods released another demo. It’s called Toys and Gods attempted to “improve cinematic engagement in the demo scene” with this demo.
It shows too. They use ripped music from films to build a real cinema feel with smart use of cuts and synchronised effects.
Be warned though, this demo requires a 3d card. I wouldn’t run it on less than a P200+3dfx either.. It’s also only available for Windows, but it’s worth booting into Windows just to watch this demo!
Saw this announcement on The PC Demo Fan Club 4.0.

Jumpy, the demo I mentioned earlier didn’t work on my RedHat 5.2 system. These are the libraries required to run it:

libX11.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so.6 (0x40014000)
libstdc++.so.27 => not found
libg++.so.27 => not found
libc.so.5 => not found
libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x400ac000)
/lib/ld-linux.so.1 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x00000000)
